GlobeViewer Mars is a 3D globe viewer app that allows you to explore Mars' surface. You can choose to view the planet as a 3D globe, with each continent and country represented by a separate sphere.
If you're interested in a specific region, an even higher resolution local 3D map view can be loaded for a closer look at the craters, mountains, and other formations.
A 3D globe viewer is also great for learning more about the different regions on Mars. For example, the local map for Europe shows how the continent is split into different countries, and it is possible to rotate the globe to view each continent from a different angle.
A local map view is also great for finding out what the landscape looks like in a specific region. For example, the map for North America shows the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. It is possible to view the terrain in the area of the local map.
The app also includes a log of all Mars missions since the year 1960.
